Males with obesity may be more at risk of heart complications, but why

Obesity, particularly abdominal obesity, is associated with a number of metabolic and cardiovascular risk factors such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and insulin resistance, which can increase the risk of heart disease. Additionally, being overweight or obese can also lead to inflammation, which is another risk factor for heart disease. The excess weight can also put additional strain on the heart and blood vessels, which can lead to complications over time.
